Production and Pultrusion
With two fully integrated pultrusion lines of different capacities, Innov Composites can produce custom pultruded profiles of various sizes according to your requirements.
We have multiple standard profiles ranging from rods, flat bars, tubes, sheet piles and channels and others. Our motivated team will work with you to specify the right pultruded profile for your application to make your project a success.
Pultrusion Process
Pultrusion is a manufacturing process that produces continuous lengths of fiber reinforced plastics (FRP) structural shapes with a constant cross section. The pultrusion process is a very efficient way to manufacture FRP products. This technique consists of guiding a number of fiber strands and fiber mats from unwinding rolls to a resin impregnation system. The number of fiber strands and mats required are selected from the final profile mechanical properties we would like to produce. The impregnation system usually consists of a resin bath where the fibers are dipped for some time to let them impregnate properly. The soaked fibers are then passed through a heated die where the resin matrix is cured to form a continuous solid section part out of the die. The solid part is then pulled continuously from the die by reciprocating clamping pullers at a fixed speed. This eco-friendly and affordable method is preferred for continuous manufacturing and rapid production.
